Telugu Language

Telugu Bhāṣa - the Telugu Language - is one of the Dravidian languages of South India. It is primarily spoken in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In 2004 it received the Classical Language Status in India, which means that its literature is considered to be a valuable heritage for coming generations of speakers.

This website was created to make this beautiful language more known in the West. It is meant to provide some online learning material and additionally give information about the Telugu literature and culture. Learn to read and write Telugu

On our website you can also learn to read and to write Telugu plus learn a little bit about Telugu grammar.

Once you sign up for a monthly or yearly subscription you get access to a step by step guide to learn the Telugu alphabet with little quizzes and with practice sheets to download and to print out.

You can also learn the Telugu Numbers from 1-100 and various beginner vocabulary, around 500 words. As for the grammar we explain how basic sentences and questions are formed and how to create plural forms in Telugu. We also explain all the different Telugu pronouns and how to express a command in Telugu.
